About
Everyone knows the phrase “an accident waiting to happen”.
We strongly believe that all accidents are caused. Accidents can only occur when unsafe conditions or acts are allowed to pre-exist.
I’m genuinely concerned about the dangers on our roads faced daily by cyclists, pedestrians and other road users. Each year there are hundreds of accidents claiming the lives of family members and friends. Thousands more are seriously hurt and many of these innocent people are left permanently disabled and disfigured.
Instances of hit and run accidents also appear to be common place which is really alarming. How would you feel if this happened to your child or loved one on their way home from school or work?
Have you ever tried to report an incident on our roads? Have you ever taken the trouble to wait at a police station for a considerable time only to be told “there is nothing we can do?”
When an accident does occur, the near misses and histories of dangerous driving prior to the event almost never feature in any subsequent investigation, unless the person involved happens to have a long police record.
Unfortunately the current policing levels and policies encourage many drivers to break the law, safe in the knowledge there is almost no chance they will be called to account.
Each time we observe dangerous driving behaviours and do nothing, we are in fact condoning these practices.
