OOPS!
The guy driving this car is no different to the other thousands of people who regularly pay no attention to all the signs put out advising of reduced speed limits around road works all over Brisbane. They fly past you giving you the death stare for driving slowly! The good thing here is that he was caught doing the wrong thing, and now has to pay a fine for doing the wrong thing. Perhaps in future he will be more aware of the signs that are put out there for the safety of everone and actually do the right thing and not have to pay a fine…………..
I WASN’T SPEEDING OFFICER, HONESTLY…..
Seems like there are some nuts at the wheel in Germany too……….
Wow! Plastic Knives are Dangerous after All!
Well well well, It seems you can actually do some damage with a plastic knife! Does this mean that we will have to resort to ripping our food apart with bare hands on flights to and from Australia from now on? Perhaps Ivan read my earlier post……………………

Paying Idiot Tax at Forest Lake
Just when I was starting to think that the police never bothered with speeding drivers in Forest Lake. Still there are hundreds more people speeding every day that don’t get caught though…………………Hopefully though, this person may tell a friend!
THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
- How many lives have actually been saved by Australian authorities insisting that all Airlines flying into, or out of, Australia issue plastic knives on Aeroplanes?
- If a policeman or policewomen was riding their bicycle home from work and they were abused or intimidated by a motorist, would they accept a member of the police force telling them, that while they were sorry, there was nothing that could be done about it as there was no injury or fatality, and I’m sorry I cannot tell you the name and address of the registered owner or driver as they have rights?
- Why is security at Mt Isa Airport in Queensland stricter than Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok?
- How much money have Governments in Australia made from the “Blue Card Initiative”, and have the total number of offenses against the people it was designed to protect, actually been reduced?
- Why do Airlines allow someone who weighs 140kg check in 25 kg of luggage for free and charge a 70 kg person with 32 kg of luggage $70 extra?
BRISBANE’S WORST ROADS – AND I DON’T MEAN POTHOLES!
I am going to make a list here of the worst roads in Brisbane for speeding drivers. The other criteria for a road making the list is the ongoing lack of police enforcement. This is why people keep speeding, because they know they probably won’t get caught. Hello!
- Blunder Road (From Ipswich Rd to Forest Lake)
- Ipswich Motorway (Oxley Rd to Moorooka)
- Charlotte St in the CBD (Edward St to Albert St)
- Garden Rd Richlands
- Rudd St Oxley (This road runs right past the QLD Police Academy – Nice one! Really unbelievable)
- Gateway Motorway
- Airport Drive
- Forest Lake Boulevard
- Fairfield Rd – (Rocklea to Dutton Park)
- Rosemary St – Inala (Glenala ave to Freeman Rd)
Absolute Idiot!
Cycling home tonight after work with my daughter when I came inches from death when some moron decided to blast his horn and swerve the front of his car towards me then swung away at the last moment and applied the hand brake causing the rear tires of the car to lock up as the rear end of the car slid towards me. This was just through the intersection of Sir Fred Schonell Drive and Gailey Road in Taringa heading outbound towards Indooroopilly. Queensland Rego Plate number 944CUP White Toyota or Mazda 626 sedan or similar, I’m really going to keep my eyes skinned for this lowlife. I would really love to have a nice little chat with him in a dark alley……..I reported the incident to the police by phone immediately, then later in person at Inala Police Station, not holding my breath for any miracle there though. However while on the subject of Qld Police, I must say I was very impressed with the attitude of the constable on the desk at Inala Station. I actually walked out of there feeling like it had not been a complete waste of time which was quite a refreshing change, from the normal attitudes you encounter when taking the time and trouble to report something. ……………..I have put the details up on www.ratetheplate.com.au
